Customer Reviews

We purchased this steering wheel cover because we thought it was really cute with our yellow New Beetle. And it is! It feels good when driving the Beetle, and we haven't had the problem the other reviewer had with the ladybugs and so on falling off. However--and we are trying to figure out how to deal with this--this steering wheel cover smells really petroleum-y, and when the car has been sitting with the windows shut it almost smells faintly like someone has been smoking inside the car. So we took it off and are trying to "air it out." Our next step is to contact Bell to see if we can condition the cover to get the smell reduced or eliminated. At this point, I cannot recommend this cover and we are looking at the local O'Reilly's auto supply shop to find something that doesn't stink up the car. Sorry, Bell!

The designs are NOT glued on very well. I have had to re-attach several of them with E-6000 glue. The ones I put back on have stayed on and I am continuously on the look-out for others that are failing so I can get them glued back on rather than split or get lost. Already lost part of one of the ladybugs. Not very good construction but it sure is cute.
